Materials

In the raw material choice, we put attention on characteristics suitable to manufacture our products in order to guarantee the top quality to the final user.

Oter produces a wide range of products whose require the use of many different materials.

In particular the steel used for cold forging suitable for threaded fittings or fixing for aluminium, steel and cast iron radiators; pickled sheet and stainless steel for clamps for pipes and bracketing systems and brass for hydraulic fittings .

Cold Forging Wire

Threaded and radiators fittings manufacturing is realized through the use of C4C annealed laminated wire in order to reduce the forging efforts and improve the product surface.

For oil & gas fittings production, is used a drawn wire to get forged products with a 100% check guarantee.

For the automotive market we use tempered alloy steel.

The wire is certified following RHOS2 Norm, REACH and in compliant with DM 174 for water transportation for human use.

Pickled sheet – Stainless steel

Pickled sheet used for clamp manufacturing is produced from coils cut to size following the specific needs

of OTER production facilities.

Based on products to be realized, can be used hot rolled sheet (DD11), cold rolled sheet (DC04) or electro-galvanized tapes (DX51).

Same productions can be realized with stainless sheet INOX 304 (A2).

Steel pipes

Processing of unalloyed steel pipes suitable for welding and to be threaded (UNI – ISO 228/1 CLB), to be used in plumbing and heating installations in compliance with UNI EN 10255 Norm.

The pipes are certified following RHOS2 Norm, REACH and in compliant with DM 174 for water transportation for human use.

Brass CW614N

Leaded brass are used for particulars machinable on the lathe with chip removal. Quantity of lead contents is suitable to reduce tool wear.

Machining performed from bar for hydraulic fitting production.

Materiali is in compliant with DM 174 for water transportation for human use.
